Finale

This is the finalizing post of SAS Wheaton SAS OTHER! The school year is long over and since the suite won’t be continuing, this blog won’t be either. The site won’t be updated anymore, but it will stay around for archival/memory purposes. The content will be kept exactly as it was to remain and entertain, at least as much as it did during it’s two-semester life.

But hey! If you’re still looking for artistic stuff that’s happening at Wheaton, you can hop aboard Spacebus for everything music or enter The Bubble, an online culture magazine for Wheaton. New things and great things, if you know where to look.

From the Scholar Artist Suite, thank you and goodnight!

Strange Fruit

This is a piece of vocal music (Strange Fruit) interspersed with a poem by Art Mason, played on the piano by me.

It was an experiment of sorts, trying out equipment and seeing what we could do. We ended up with a really nice sounding track, so here it is for you to hear -

We actually performed this live a few days later, so maybe I’ll get a video of that up here.

Edit: Here it is, sorry about the horrible piano sound.

Imagine Ghosts

Random Audio:

I created this sound in Digital Performer that randomly swung around nearby pitches and randomly roamed around volume. It sounds how I might imagine ghosts sound.
